A note from his new family:
Elliot - who is now learning his new name, "Chase" - seems to be fitting in well here in his new household. He and Zedd had some good play time - and relax time - yesterday. We started with a good walk first thing this morning - just me with the two of them. They both did well at a fast walking pace - one on either side. Chase is getting used to the choke-chain, and we were able to keep it loose most of the time (which was surprising after yesterday's first walk home - which had quite a bit more pulling involved).
Chase has already figured out that sitting results in treats much faster than jumping, and he has only really tried jumping up on one chair in the living room (the shorter one). Of course, he also figured out the 'luv sak' is really, really comfortable, but he's allowed to enjoy that one. He and Dave got some good snuggles in last night in the 'sak'. You might be surprised to hear (or might not be, since you know how smart he is, and we're still learning), he's already getting the idea of 'waiting' at doors, and that people get to go first, not him - and that he has to 'wait' before pushing his way out of the crate, and for food, and for just about everything else, too.
I'd say he's making a swift integration! Right now, he's passed out in my office (on a leash, tied to my ankle) - which allows Zedd to have his window seat back, all to himself.
Thanks to all of you who offered Elliot a new home

I've got a new family!
Last weekend, I went for a meet and greet with a new fam that really wanted me. They have a mix like me named Zedd, he's a Dane and something, don't remember. Well I was pretty excited and Auntie Jewlz said I acted awful! But they saw me in all my glory and wanted me anyway. he he!
The deal breaker was whether me and Zedd were going to be buds. The first time was so so but the second time we got together it was like we were long lost friends and we ran around the yard and played for a long time. So the fam went home and thought about it and the next day they said I could come and be part of their forever family!!!!
I am so happy I could just pee! Thanks to everyone who offered me a home. There were so many great apps, it was really hard to choose.
Zedds callin, got to go

Ya really love Me!
Wow, soooo many people want me but I am not surprised because I am one handsome Dude ya know. Half English bulldog and half Boxer.
I'm lookin for a special home. Maybe another dog, maybe not, depends on the dog but not more than one please. It is all about me ya know. And none of those small skin kids. Cats are OK if I can chase them but if not maybe non of those. Auntie Jewlz also wants me to remind everyone that I can climb, it's the boxer in me and I need at least a 6 ft secure fence. I also need someone who has time and patience to train me because apparently my manners aren't the best and need work.
So in review for those of ya who need it:
No dogs or only one
No small kids
No cats
Required 6 ft + fence
Training, Training, Training
Lots of love and attention
Oh ya and treats!
That's all I can think of for now. Keep the emails coming, I know the right fam is out there for me

Welcome Elliott
“Elliott did not ask to be bred, I am told he is ½ English Bulldog. Elliott came for the horrific puppy mill in Pend O’Reille (Pondoray) County in Eastern WA and was bred by the monster, Jeanette Bergman. My bulldog mix and my soulmate, Wyatt came from there, God rest his soul, in January 1997, in a raid that confiscated 250 dogs. I made a promise to myself that I would always help a Bergman dog and we have, look in success stories about Tessa as she came from there as well.”
Elliott is gorgeous and a real sweet boy, he will be 1 September 08. Yes he is true Black & White. He will require a person to make the commitment of training as part of his adoption. He will make an awesome jogging partner and he loves to be with you. - Cindy Mozingo, Director
Elliott does well with non-dominant dogs. Once he establishes a play relationship he is comfortable with the other dog and plays non-stop. He eats well and sleeps through the night in his crate. He loves bully sticks and raw bones and chews only those things that are given to him. He is also very athletic and a climber so his new home will need to have at least a 6ft fully enclosed fence. He loves attention and getting hugs and kisses and loves to kiss back.
He is a puppy who needs attention. He is bright and smart, but will only work for you if you are consistant and can make training time interesting for him. Are you Elliott's ideal new family?
He will not be shipped anywhere, please don't ask. Please have a current application on file before you contact us. Contact Lou for additional information.
